ALL NEW 2014 CAYENNE S E-HYBRID

As promised by Porsche more than a year ago, the German luxury automaker has unveiled details all-new 2015 Cayenne. And for the first time in the car’s history, you’ll be able to buy it with a plug.The all-new 2015 Porsche Cayenne S-E Hybrid — which replaces the outgoing non plug-in hybrid — should manage a far better fuel economy thanks to its larger on-board battery pack and much more powerful electric motor. At the time of writing, official fuel economy figures aren’t available, but Porsche says the Cayenne S-E Hybrid will sprint from 0-62 mph in 5.4 seconds, more than a second quicker than its non plug-in predecessor.

The electric motor provides an additional boost. In coasting mode, the combustion engine is decoupled and switched off, allowing the Cayenne S E-Hybrid to glide for some distance under its own momentum – for a significant reduction in fuel consumption without any compromise in terms of sports performance.Using the main off-road control on the center console, you can select one of up to three modes (depending on the model) for improving the off-road capability or revert the setting to normal road driving. In Off-road Mode 1, the maps for all relevant systems,are adapted to provide optimum traction. In addition, High Level 1 is selected on vehicles featuring air suspension with PASM. The air suspension can also be raised further to High Level II to increase the approach/departure angle and wading depth.

Off-road Mode 2 ensures even greater traction on difficult terrain* by fully locking the multi-plate clutch. The electronically controlled variable rear differential on the optional Porsche Torque Vectoring Plus is integrated within the all-wheel drive system and can be fully locked in Off-road Mode 3.

Available on the Cayenne S, Cayenne S Diesel and Cayenne Turbo. Porsche Dynamic Light System, adjusts the range of the dipped beam based on driving speed. The dynamic cornering light function swivels the main headlights towards the inside of a bend based on the current steering angle and road speed. The static cornering lights activate the auxiliary headlights in order to illuminate more of the road in tight bends and turns.

Porsche Dynamic Light System Plus,offers two additional functions: High Beam Assistant is activated at speeds in excess of approx. 40 mph.
