MERCEDES BENZ S550 HYBRID

Mercedes-Benz is extending its S-Class lineup for 2015 with a module mixture rendition, joining the S400 hybrid and the S300 BlueTEC . The S550 Module Crossover gimmicks a compelling level of specialized advancements all cooperating to create the most effective driving knowledge while as yet offering all the opulent purchasers anticipate from Mercedes.

The car utilizes a twin-turbocharged, V-6 motor and a high-voltage, 8.7 kWh lithium-particle battery to spur the auto. A super-minimized electric engine fits set up of the seven-speed programmed's torque converter, taking into consideration simple fitment under the S-Class' floor dish.

Four commute modes permit the driver to picked between Crossover, E-Mode (electric just, E-Save (less electric, more gas) and Charge (charges the battery while driving). The S550 Module Cross breed likewise utilizes recuperative slowing mechanism to moderate the auto. The sytem attempts to wipe out the perceptible move between the routine brakes and the electric engine in generator mode.

On top of recuperative braking, the S550 Plug-in Hybrid  satisfies its name by offering a repository in the back guard for charging from a force source. Also, Mercedes is working nearby BMW on a remote, inductive charging framework. Mercedes hasn't uncovered when inductive accusing of be accessible, yet expect it later on.Things are pretty standard here, as the S550 Plug-in Hybrid shares the same architecture and design as the conventional S-Class sedans. The only major difference lies on the right side of the rear bumper, where Mercedes located the charging port. A locking mechanism keeps the charging cord secured to the vehicle during operation, preventing it from theft or unintentional unplugging.

Looking like a conventional S-Class isn’t a bad thing. Stretching 206.5 inches in length, the S-Class is a commanding vehicle. It’s large grille and LED headlights give it an intimidating appearance. Things get a little swoopy out back, with the C-pillars rolling into the truck lid. The line continues past the taillights and into the rear bumper.

Besides the small door for the charging port, the only identifier of this car’s electrification is the “PLUG IN HYBRID” badge running across its trunk. The Mercedes-Benz S-Class has put other automakers on notice with its forward-thinking design. A massive digital dashboard shows nearly every conceivable bit of information about the car while diamond-pattern quilting graces the heated and cooled power seats.

Perhaps the most innovative feature the S550 Plug-in Hybrid offers is the Pre-Entry Climate Control system. Program the car with your next departure time, and it will begin cooling off the interior using only electricity. That’s thanks to the HVAC system being fully electric. Even the seats will heat or cool to your set preference. On cold days, the steering wheel and armrests will preheat as well.

Rear-seat comfort is at a premium, with the S550 offering tons of leg, hip, shoulder, and headroom for even the tallest passengers. Here’s where things get interesting. The S550 Plug-in Hybrid carries a 3.0-liter V-6 sporting two turbochargers. By itself, it makes 329 horsepower between 5,250 and 6,000 rpm and 354 pound-feet of torque between 1,600 and 4,000 revs. Add to that the 85 kW electric motor that’s good for an extra 114 horsepower and 251 pound-feet of torque. With gas and electric combined, the S550 Plug-in Hybrid generates 436 horsepower and 479 pound-feet of torque.

At full grip, the Benz will hit 62 mph in only 5.2 seconds on some way or another to a 130-mph top velocity. On the expressway, the S550 Hybrid can journey up to 87 mph in electric mode and gets a 2.8 l/100km (84 mpg U.S.) rating on the EU's joined cycle. That number will probably fall in the EPA's testing.

Completely charged, the S550 Plug in Hybrid Mixture offers a 20-mile, completely electric reach. Assisting with that range is Mercedes' shrewd working procedure. The auto attempts to guarantee the battery is completely charged before entering a urban zone. This methodology takes into account the most extreme separation conceivable in full electric mode. This framework is particularly convenient considering the few places in Europe where gasoline motors are confined in urban territories.

THE RED METALLIC PORSCHE MACAN OUTSHINE OTHER VEHICLES ON PAIN ALONE

Dispatched in late 2013 for the 2014 model year, the just took the ribbon off new Macan got the adoration it merits from Porsche Selective a couple of months in the wake of arriving at U.S. what's more European dealerships. On the off chance that you missed it, I'm discussing this Sapphire Blue Metallic-painted hybrid that demonstrates the Macan is as adjustable as some other Porsche. Come 2015, the Macan is now taking up arms against the BMW X3 and Audi Q5 on streets the world over. The people over at Porsche Select turned to the Turbo model to showcase their products.

The situation is virtually the same. The hybrid is wrapped in a bespoke shading that is not accessible as standard, while the outside and the inside have a few goodies, running from darkened body parts to carbon-fiber additions to an energetic instrument bunch. Notwithstanding, the vicinity of the turbocharged V-6 motor with its monstrous yield in the engine makes this Porsche Elite Macan an additionally tempting option to the blue Macan S we saw in 2014.This particular Macan might not look radically different from the standard Turbo model, but its bespoke color makes it stand out. Heck, the gorgeous Impulse Red Metallic is worthy of the High Impact colors of the muscle-car’s golden era, and it could outshine a lot of sportier vehicles based on paint alone, including a 911.

Making the hue that much more spectacular are the add-ons Porsche Exclusive selected. The color is enhanced by the gloss-black, 21-inch Sport Classic wheels which show yellow brake calipers, rear diffuser, roof rails, and the blackened housings of the bi-xenon headlamps. A set of SportDesign side mirrors round off the package. The Macan’s spectacular exterior paint carries over inside to adorn both the tach and speedo dials, as well as the seat belts, adding a dash of color to the otherwise dark and monochromatic cabin. The Macan's tremendous outside paint continues inside to beautify both the tach and speedo dials, and the seat sashs, adding a dash of shading to the overall dull and monochromatic lodge. While it may not be clear from the get go, a more intensive look uncovers the hybrid gimmicks the discretionary Coffee common cowhide. The conceal covers the energetic seats, as well as the dashboard, directing wheel, and parts of the entryway boards.

Different peculiarities accessible as alternatives on the standard Macan Turbo incorporate Porsche peaks for the headrests, carbon-fiber embeds for the dashboard, and instrument and sporty Chrono check dials in white. What hasn’t changed in this Porsche Exclusive crossover is the drivetrain. As usual, the Turbo badge means a twin-turbo, 3.6-liter V-6 engine is under the hood. It delivers 400 horsepower at 6,000 rpm and 406 pound-feet of torque from 1,350 rpm to all four corners, through the familiar seven-speed PDK.This setup, and additionally the way that its is furnished with the Game Chrono bundle, empowers the Macan Turbo to sprint from 0 to 60 mph in 4.4 seconds. The standard model takes 0.2 seconds longer to accomplish the same benchmark. Top rate is restricted at 164. These figures make the Macan Turbo the fastest hybrid in its class, but at the same time that is because of the way that makers, for example, BMW or Mercedes have yet to dispatch superior performance of the X3 and GLC.There's no official evaluating data for this Macan as of February 2015, however the greater part of the extravagant peculiarities seen above are accessible as alternatives on the U.S.-spec Turbo model. For example, the Motivation Red Metallic shading will set you back $3,210, while a set of dark Game Excellent wheels add an additional $3,745 to the sticker. The Coffee regular calfskin inner part costs $3,170, while the cowhide wrapped dashboard brings $1,795. The remaining gimmicks, including the side mirrors, side skirts, white dials, the Porsche-weaved headrests, and the carbon-fiber trim includes an alternate $7,315, taking the terrific aggregate to an incredible $19,235.

With the Macan Turbo valued from $72,300, a model like the one indicated here will set you again in any event $91,500. No more to buy a 911 Carrera 4 or a Cayman GT4 with in any event $6,000 worth of choices.

AUDI ALLROAD WAGON

In terms of utility, the station wagon is the driver's decision. Disregard SUVs and hybrids and the many illustrations of every endeavoring to be both or not one or the other, the station wagon is the decision to make on the off chance that you think as much about driving as you do about pulling. With the Allroad, you really get an average mix of on-street execution, rough terrain" "balance" and gobs of space. It's not the greatest, its not the quickest, and its not by any means the most fit when leaving the asphalt, yet its a heck of a decent alternative in a fairly restricted pool.

All upgrade for 2015 Audi Allroad gains acclaim from commentators for its all-wheel-drive footing and polished inside, yet some contending wagons offer more load space and more standard gimmicks for the cash.

Most test drivers think the 2015 Audi Allroad's standard turbocharged four-chamber motor energetic acceleration around town and on the parkway. The 2015 Allroad gets an EPA-evaluated 21/28 mpg city/thruway, which is genuinely ordinary for a wagon. The Allroad comes standard with all-wheel drive, and commentators compose that it gives consoling footing in terrible climate. They take note of that the Allroad's general taking care of is created,LED taillights have just been made standard, to join the LED turn signals and standard fog lights you get with the Allroad, solid brakes and a charming ride.Critics are very impressed with the 2015 Audi Allroad’s sophisticated interior design, exceptional materials and solid build quality. However, the Allroad’s cargo area is small compared to its rivals’, and automotive journalists wish its rear seat provided more legroom. Standard features in the 2015 Audi Allroad include a panoramic moonroof, tri-zone automatic climate control,Bluetooth phone connectivity, iPod integration ,a power liftgate, satellite radio, a 10-speaker sound system and Audi’s Multi-Media Infotainment system (MMI), which includes a 6.5-inch screen and controls various audio and climate settings. Available features include a rearview camera, push-button start, blind spot monitoring, adaptive cruise control, system and an upgraded MMI system with a 7-inch screen, navigation, Bluetooth streaming audio and Audi Connect, a subscription-based service that provides Google search capability and Wi-Fi access through a cellular data connection. The MMI framework's fresh representation speak to test drivers, however some note that the infotainment frameworks in opponent cars are less confused.                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                       The position of the MMI controls in base models additionally irritates a few commentators. A few commentators additionally grumble that gimmicks that are discretionary in the Allroad are standard in significantly less costly wagons.

VOLKSWAGEN 2015 GOLF SPORTWAGEN

The Golf has been a staple in VW's U.S. lineup for what appears like for eternity. The SportWagen propelled in 2009 under the Passat name, . In the 2015 model year, then again, VW chose to totally upgrade the SportWagen and reposition it in the Golf lineup, in the same way as it ought to have been back when it appeared.

The 2015 Golf SportWagen was saw by the 2014 Golf SportWagen 4MOTION Idea at the New York Car exhibition. Pretty much as I expected, the creation model is about indistinguishable to the idea, put something aside for the way that VW has yet to affirm 4MOTION all-wheel drive for the form that'll hit merchants.

As was long the case for the Jetta SportWagen, the Golf SportWagen will appreciate a flimsy fragment as far as rivalry. Inevitably, whatever is left of the car world will move into this relinquished portion, however until further notice its Golf or nothing.Volkswagen announced prices for the new 2015 Golf Sportwagen, which will hit dealer showrooms in April. It will be offered with two engines: a four-cylinder TSI or a four-cylinder TDI, with prices ranging from $21,395 for the base version equipped with the manual transmission, up to $31,445 for the SEL TDI with the DSG automatic gearbox. Full prices list after the jump. For the 2015 model year, the Golf SportWagen does exactly as I expected it to do: take all the goodness of the 2015 Golf and slap a wagon back end on it. In addition to featuring new looks compared to the Jetta SportWagen that preceded it, the Golf SportWagen is 1.1 inches longer and 0.7 inch wider. In order to help with aerodynamics, VW also lowered the overall body height by 0.9 inch. To give it a more premium cab-rearward stance, VW moved the front wheels 1.7 inches forward.Around back, VW kept all of the key features of the SportWagen, but it revised all of the body lines and installed revised taillights. Part of the line changes include a lower tailgate that allows for easier cargo loading.

The SportWagen’s looks blend the best of two typically different worlds, as it takes the sporty looks of the Golf and the performance that comes to mind when thinking of the R and GTI, and combined it with the utility of a wagon. It is the ultimate substitute for lumbering SUVs and over-compromised crossovers. The only thing it lacks is the slightly increased ride height that helps with light off-road maneuvering, but if you’re off-roading in your Golf, Volkswagen Volkswagen gave me very little to go on of in terms of interior details, but as with any VW model, I expect the Golf SportWagen’s interior to be a great place to spend time. Oddly enough, despite the fact that the new SportWagen is almost an inch shorter in height, it actually has 0.4 inch of additional headroom and 10 percent more cargo room.

In the images that VW provided, I can see that a sporty, three-spoke steering wheel greets the driver, while a set of nicely bolstered seats grip the occupants. The center sections of these seats appear to be Alcatara or suede for better grip. The center console is very clean, and a large touchscreen dominates that space. Flanking the screen are neatly arranged buttons, and under the screen are the HVAC controls, which are also extremely clean. The entire center stack appears to be angled toward the driver, giving him easy access to all of the features.

Volkswagen didn’t go too deep into standard features on the 2015 Golf SportWagen, but it did let us know of a few options. These include a panoramic moonroof, a 12-way power driver’s seat, and Climatronic auto climate control.Inspiring the standard 2015 Volkswagen SportWagen is a 1.8-liter, turbocharged four-chamber motor that creates 170 drive. This motor will be accessible with two transmission alternatives: a five-rate manual or a six-velocity auto. Hope to see increments of up to 17 percent in parkway efficiency when contrasted with the Jetta SportWagen's 2.5-liter four-barrel.

The discretionary motor is a 2.0-liter, regular rail diesel motor that conveys 150 torque – 10 more than the Jetta SportWagon's TDI motor – and 236 pound-feet of torque. This torque beast mates to either a six-pace manual or a six-rate DSG double grasp transmission. Expect roadway efficiency in overabundance of 40 mpg with the diesel setup.

While VW didn't get into the drive framework under the skin of the SportWagen, I can just accept that it'll come standard with front-wheel drive. Given the idea form of this wagon had 4MOTION all-wheel drive, I accept we'll see that on production model too.

HYUNDAI SANTS FE 2015 SPORT 2.0T AWD

Game or sporty is a statement that is joined to a great deal of impossible iron, especially in the realm of SUVs. Anyway the most recent Sante Fe  Sporty or Game may simply be deserving of the assignment.

Point of view: This Hyundai comes in two sizes, the two-line, five-traveler and the three-column, seven-seat model, which is badged just Santa Fe. Riding a 106.3-inch wheelbase, the sporty is, typically, lighter and handier than its greater cousin, which has 3.9 extra crawls between its axles.

Nonetheless, the statement "lighter" justifies a reference bullet. Hyundai records check weight for this specific Santa Fe as 3700 pounds, not very porky for an all-wheel-drive hybrid in this class. Notwithstanding, our test unit tipped the scales at a somewhat chubby 4021, in part because of a significant heap of discretionary peculiarities. Mass, obviously, is the intractable adversary of execution, yet the Santa Fe amazed us with a zero-to-60-mph sprint of 6.6 seconds. That’s pretty close to tops in this class, a tribute to the power traits of the optional 2.0-liter turbo. At 264 horsepower and 269 lb-ft of torque, its output is robust by compact-SUV standards. But its most endearing virtue is midrange response. The turbocharger comes online almost instantaneously, delivering a habit-forming surge, and if the six-speed automatic isn’t particularly gratifying in manual mode, its programming makes it intuitively responsive when it’s operating in full automatic.

Fuel economy for the 2.0T is so-so by class standards at 18 mpg city and 24 highway, per the EPA. We averaged 18 mpg in mixed driving.Drawbacks? The damping could profit from some consideration, as somewhat more consistence would be useful on uneven asphalt and turnpike development joints. Braking execution is respectable at 168 feet from 70 to zero mph, though with clues of blur after rehashed stops. Anyhow both braking and grasp would enhance with a more forceful tire than the all-season elastic worn by our test sample.

Then again, the 235/55-19 Mainland CrossContact LX Games capitalized on the Santa Fe's all-wheel-drive framework and were strikingly viable amid a Michigan snowstorm that put numerous SUVs into the trench .

Over to that "sporty" mark. Does the Santa Fe measure up to the unerring footwork of the Mazda CX-5? Not exactly, yet the refinement isn't immense, and the Santa Fe is speedier. In this overflowing section, the Santa Fe displays more game than most, and it doesn't dole out much, if anything, on the general spryness record.Typical of Hyundai, the Santa Fe offers good value for the money, provided the buyer exercises some restraint. A basic front-drive Santa Fe, with the naturally aspirated 2.4-liter four, starts at $25,800. Base price for a 2.0T with AWD is $33,900, which includes a lot of cool standard features—a power rear liftgate, leather, heated front seats, electroluminescent gauges, and driver-selectable steering modes among them. Not to mention handsome interior decor and lots of interior volume—enough to swallow a snow blower, important during an upper-Midwest winter.

Our Santa Fe was equipped with the Ultimate package, which added, among other goodies, 19-inch aluminum wheels, navigation with an 8.0-inch touch screen, a panoramic sunroof, a 12-spreaker Infinity audio system, ventilated front seats, heated rear seats, and a heated steering wheel, which is as welcome to cold-weather dwellers as heated seats.

HYUDAI UNCOVERED A HYBRID SONATA

2015 Hybrid Sonata
The seventh-generation car touched base in dealerships for the 2015 model year, Hyundai revealed a brand-new Hybrid model in South Korea that follows the styling of the non-hybrid models. The Sonata nameplate may be 29 years of age starting 2014, yet Hyundai's medium size vehicle had little effect on the U.S. market until 2009, when the sixth-era model was presented. Grown more than four years in a process that cost Hyundai $372 million, the YF Sonata turned into the first of its kind to get a mechanical production system on North American soil. It got several just took the ribbon off new Theta motors, and in addition a crossover drivetrain that gave back 38 mpg joined.

The non-half and half Sonata got yet an alternate makeover for the 2015 model year, which brought outside and inside styling taking into account the all-new Genesis. Good looking to take a gander at and more upscale within, the new Genesis was gotten with energy in the U.S.

With the United States being Hyundai's most critical market as far as half breeds and module mixtures, the overhauled Sonata Hybrid additionally got its yankee immersion at the 2015 North American International Auto Show in Detroit. With rather thin contrasts as far as styling contrasted and the non-cross breed model, the new 2016 Sonata Hybrid accompanies a totally new drivetrain and enhanced mileage.

The past era's 2.4-liter four-barrel has been supplanted by a cut back, direct-infusion, two-liter four chamber, while the electric engine brings the aggregate force yield to a not-to-shabby 193 drive. As expected, the Sonata Hybrid’s exterior design is nearly identical to the standard, gasoline-powered sedan’s. This means it benefits from the company’s new Fluidic Sculpture 2.0 design language, with more angular body lines, large hexagonal grille, and reshaped light units, making it the sportiest Sonata yet. In addition, the sedan is longer and wider than its predecessor.

But that’s not to say you won’t be able to spot a Hybrid model in a pack of conventional Sonatas. Hyundai made sure the greenest member of its midsize lineup can stand out in a crowd by adding a unique inner-grille pattern while extending the grille farther down into the apron. On the sides, the Sonata Hybrid showcases a distinctive chrome molding at the bottom of the doors and "blue drive" badges on the front fenders.

Noticeable differences are found around back as well. The taillights feature a revised cluster configuration, while the standard diffuser-like element has been replaced by a low-drag piece unique to the Hybrid model. The exhaust tip is concealed behind the bumper. Naturally, the trunk lid comes with "hybrid" lettering in additional to the mandatory "Sonata" badge Step inside and you’ll find the same cabin layout that debuted with the regular Sonata earlier in 2014. Changes are limited to the instrument cluster and the center stack display, which have been updated to include information about the vehicle’s hybrid drivetrain and the all-new Eco mode.

Other than that, expect to find each and every convenience and safety feature available with the standard Sonata. Convenience amenities include Smart Key entry with Smart Trunk function, ventilated seats with four-way lumber support, a heated steering wheel, and Smart Cruise Control among many others. Moving over to safety features, the Sonata Hybrid is equipped with Lane Departure Warning, Forward Collision Warning, Rear Cross Traffic Alert, Lane Change Assist, and a knee airbag. This is where the Sonata Hybrid is completely different when compared to its siblings. Instead of carrying a 2.4-liter, four-banger under the hood, this sedan is equipped with a smaller, 2.0-liter unit mated to a 51 horsepower electric motor.

Total system output yield is 193 strength at 6,000 rpm, however the precise torque figures are still a puzzle for the minute. Hyundai has yet to post execution figures, yet we expect the new Sonata Mixture to sprint from nothing to 60 mph in around eight seconds, a good figure for the half and half medium size section. Force makes a trip to the wheels through a fresh out of the box new, six-pace programmed transmission. The unit houses a profoundly effective footing engine, a lighter torsion damper and another grasp with less grip plates for decreased drag. The extent that the efficiency goes, the new 2016 Sonata Half and half is required to offer a 10 percent change contrasted and the 2015 model, with Hyundai saying it accomplishes up to 39 mpg in the city, 44 mpg on the expressway and a consolidated EPA rating of no under 42 mpg.

VOLKSWANGEN 2015 GOLF GTI

The current year's full upgrade is one motivation behind why. Outwardly, the progressions are unpretentious, with reshaped headlights and taillights and additionally more honed wrinkles on the body's side. The new GTI is a tad longer and more extensive than the cordial one, yet another inclining hood outline provides for it a shorter, more dynamic look. Inside the distinctions are likewise slight. Back seat and load space increment marginally, and that is something to be thankful for. The GTI's inside was at that point one of the better ones regarding outline and quality.

More generous changes lie underneath the steel skin. VW has presented an all-new body structure with reconsidered suspension tuning to give the GTI more physical taking care of this time around (though with a grievous decrease in ride quality not long from now). Hit the gas and the new GTI moves quicker, as well. The turbocharged 2.0-liter four-barrel motor now produces 210 strength and 258 pound-feet of torque, increases of 10 hp and 51 lb-ft contrasted with the friendly model. A discretionary bundle includes 10 more hp alongside bigger front and back brakes and an electronically controlled mechanical restricted slip front differential - a GTI first - that can bail the trapdoor power out of turns all the more rapidly. A discretionary versatile suspension is an alternate new expansion.

Assembled it and you've got the GTI's customary qualities of refinement, reasonableness and quality, however now with improved deftness and execution. VW isn't the main brand vying for your hot seal dollars, obviously. For rowdier quickening and taking care of, the Portage Center ST sets the standard. It's detectably less lavish, as well. We're additionally attached to the littler yet exceedingly adjustable 2015 Small scale Cooper S, which was as of late upgraded and offers tech-situated gimmicks you can't get on the GTI. The 2015 Subaru WRX is a decent alternative on the off chance that you need all-wheel drive.

Regardless of your personal hot hatch preferences, though, the GTI's well-rounded excellence should merit a place on your must-see short list. The 2015 Volkswagen Golf GTI is a two- or four-door hatchback offered in three trim levels. Standard features for the base GTI S two-door include 18-inch alloy wheels, LED foglights, a rear spoiler, heated mirrors, a sport-tuned suspension, cruise control, air-conditioning, cloth upholstery, heated front seats, a leather-wrapped tilt-and-telescoping steering wheel, rear 60/40-split folding rear seats with a center pass-through, a 5.8-inch touchscreen audio interface, Bluetooth phone and audio connectivity, satellite radio, iPod integration and VW Car-Net telematics. Four-door versions of the GTI S also receive power reclining front seats.

Stepping up to the GTI SE trim adds a sunroof, automatic headlights and wipers, keyless ignition and entry, a rearview camera, leather upholstery and a Fender premium audio system. The range-topping GTI Autobahn trim tops off the features list with a navigation system, a 10-way power driver seat and dual-zone automatic climate control.

The discretionary Driver Support bundle includes front and back stopping sensors and a forward crash cautioning framework. The Lighting bundle gets you bi-xenon headlights, Drove running lights and cornering lights. You can likewise select 18-inch wheels with summer tires or the Execution bundle (late accessibility) that incorporates an electronically controlled mechanical restricted slip front differential, bigger front and back brakes and an extra 10 hp. A versatile damping suspension framework is likewise accessible yet just in conjunction with the Execution package. The front-wheel-drive 2015 VW Golf GTI utilizes a turbocharged 2.0-liter four-chamber motor that creates 210 hp and 258 lb-ft of torque. The discretionary Execution bundle expands yield to 220 hp. A six-velocity manual transmission is standard and a six-rate robotized manual (VW's DSG) is nonobligatory.

Amid Edmunds testing, a 2015 VW Golf GTI with the DSG transmission and Execution bundle went from zero to 60 mph in 6.2 seconds. That is marginally snappier than normal for an energetic minimized auto, and more than a second speedier than a standard Golf.

The EPA's appraisals for mileage are 28 mpg joined (25 city/34 roadway) for the manual transmission and 28 mpg consolidated (25 city/33 parkway) for the DSG.Standard security characteristics for the 2015 VW Golf GTI incorporate antilock circle brakes, programmed slope hold, solidness and footing control, front side airbags, side window ornament airbags and a driver knee airbag. A post-accident stopping automation is additionally standard and naturally applies the brakes after an effect to decrease the probability of an auxiliary accident. VW's Auto Net crisis telematics is standard with gimmicks that incorporate programmed accident warning, roadside support, remote vehicle access, stolen vehicle area and geo-fencing (which permits folks to define limits for high school drivers). A forward crash cautioning framework and front and back stopping sensors are noncompulsory.

In Edmunds tests, a Golf GTI fitted with summer tires arrived at a prevent from 60 mph in 109 feet, which is a decent separation and a couple of feet shorter than normal for a moderate execution auto with summer tires.

In Protection Foundation for Roadway Security accident testing, the related 2015 VW Golf earned the most elevated score of "Great" in the moderate-cover and little cover frontal-balance effect tests. It additionally earned a "Decent" evaluating in the side-effect, top quality and seats/head limitations (whiplash insurance) tests. The 2015 Volkswagen GTI's inside peculiarities decently grained materials that are delicate to the touch and a lodge outline that is, while to a degree somber, agreeable and even energetic, because of striking red sewing. Catches and switches are set near to the driver and offer instinctive, basic control. The 5.8-inch touchscreen is a tad little contrasted with others, and the representation aren't as fresh as on some contender screens, yet it functions admirably and is effectively perused initially. In any case the huge iPhone connector fitting can oblige you to uproot the telephone's case and remains a basic problem, particularly with the omnipresence of straightforward USB ports. The route framework additionally baffles with its powerlessness to overlay activity data on the guide. Rather, it records movement occurrences in the region.

Front seats give plentiful help and solace, actually amid long-separation driving spells, and not at the offering of back seat travelers. The new GTI's included leg- and shoulder room make the little incubate feel huge, in spite of the fact that the low-mounted back seat pads are ideally equipped to littler travelers. Up to 22.8 cubic feet of load can be suited behind the back seats, while collapsing the seats level gives a class-driving 52.7 cubic feet of space. The 2015 VW Golf GTI satisfies its hot lid legacy with sharp taking care of and directing, energetic speeding up and a somewhat husky motor and fumes note. These are all best abused on a tight and curving mountain street, where the GTI energetically limits from bend to bend, all while imparting a lot of driver certainty.

Either the smooth moving manual or the decently executed DSG computerized manual transmission is a decent decision. Particularly contrasted with conventional automatics, the DSG is brisk and smooth, and its downshifts are rev-matched with flawlessness. On the other hand, we've discovered that DSG can be frustratingly moderate to react to your gas pedal inputs when you need to quicken rapidly from a stop or you're trundling along in substantial movement.

We're additionally not as attached to the way the new GTI rides. Maybe in VW's journey for more prominent taking care of accuracy, the GTI has lost some of its trademark ride comfort that used to make it such an engaging day by day driver. On harsh asphalt, the GTI can get really unforgiving. Contenders like the Passage Center ST and Subaru WRX give a just as exciting driving background and have an insignificantly better ride quality. We've yet to drive a 2015 Volkswagen Golf GTI with all-season tires or the discretionary versatile suspension, however, so its conceivable these models will have a smoother ride.

ACURA MDX IS A MIDSIZE EXTRAVAGANCE SUV

The Acura brand offers a sensible tackle extravagance. While exorbitant European nameplates may improve occupation of awing the neighbors, this Japanese marque exceeds expectations at conveying premium quality and gimmicks at a generally sensible cost. Rich yet down to business, the 2015 Acura MDX embodies the manufacturer's value-oriented philosophy.
With the MDX, purchasers get a hybrid that is bearable, sumptuous and a ton of fun. It's generally a pleasing friendly, because of peculiarities like a sliding second line of seats that floats forward at the touch of a catch to encourage third-column access. The rundown of standard luxuries is saturated with extravagance and incorporates top of the line things that purchasers need to pay additional for on opponent models. Case in point, base models are outfitted with Drove headlights, warmed calfskin seats and a multi-edge rearview cam. Finishing it all off is the MDX's completely enthralling attitude. Increasing speed is lively, the motor note is satisfying and the hybrid feels tight and energetic when handling turns.

In spite of the fact that verifiably convincing, the MDX isn't the main alluring three-line extravagance hybrid out not long from now. Infiniti's QX60 and Lincoln's MKT are amazing options, however not one or the other conveys a driving knowledge as captivating as the Acura's. The BMW X5 is a superior pick for customers who place most extreme need on execution, however its prominently costlier than the MDX. Likewise justified regardless of a look in the event that you require more load or third-column seat room than the MDX gives is the bigger Buick Enclave.

However what we like about this Acura is the way it separates itself from the pack by pulling off a perfect exercise in careful control: It figures out how to be both exuberant and practical. Stuffed with gimmicks and a treat to drive, the 2015 Acura MDX is a simple decision for customers looking for a three-column hybrid that straddles extravagance and quality.

All new 2015 Acura MDX is a medium size extravagance SUV that seats seven. It is offered in one decently selected trim level with dynamic extra bundles.

Standard peculiarities incorporate 18-inch wheels, programmed led headlights, heat mirrors, a force liftgate, a sunroof, back protection glass, keyless ignition and entry, warmed eight-way power front seats (with driver power lumbar), driver memory settings, a force tilt-and-extendable controlling wheel, calfskin upholstery, tri-zone programmed atmosphere control and an auto-darkening rearview mirror. Electronic peculiarities incorporate twin comfort shows (7-inch touchscreen and 8-inch data), a multi-point rearview cam, Bluetooth phone and sound integration, an eight-speaker sound framework with a Cd player, an iPod/USB interface, Pandora and Aha similarity and satellite radio.

The Innovation bundle includes a route framework, voice controls (route and sound), AcuraLink and a 10-speaker Acura/ELS encompass sound framework with HD radio. Likewise included with this bundle are 19-inch composite wheels; downpour sensing wipers; Drove puddle lights; back entryway keyless entrance; GPS-connected and sun based sensing atmosphere control; and a trio of security peculiarities: path flight, blind side and forward-crash cautioning.

The Innovation and Excitement bundle includes a 110-volt electrical plug, warmed back seats, back entryway window sunshades and a back seat DVD amusement framework with a 9-inch screen and an extra speaker.

The Development and Diversion bundle expands on the above gimmicks with top rails; front and back stopping sensors; remote motor begin; auto-darkening sideview mirrors; redesigned cowhide upholstery; ventilated front seats; a frontal crash alleviation framework; path keeping aid; versatile voyage control; an eight-way power front traveler seat (with force lumbar); and an overhauled back seat excitement framework with a 16.2-inch screen, two extra speakers and a HDMI info.

The 2015 Acura MDX is fueled by a 3.5-liter V6 that delivers 290 strength and 267 pound-feet of torque. A six-rate programmed transmission and front-wheel drive are standard, and all-wheel drive is accessible as an option.Tested MDX SH-AWD quickened from zero to 60 mph in 6.5 seconds, which is a marginally snappier than-normal time for this class of vehicle.

EPA-evaluated mileage with front-wheel drive is 23 mpg joined (20 city/28 expressway), while the AWD rendition rates 21 mpg consolidated (18/27). Appropriately prepared, the MDX can tow up to 5,000 pounds.

Standard security supplies for the 2015 Acura MDX incorporates antilock plate brakes, front-seat side airbags, side drapery airbags, a driver knee airbag, dynamic front head limitations and footing and steadiness control. At our test office, the MDX obliged 125 feet to prevent from 60 mph. This execution is not comparable to others in its class. A rearview cam is additionally standard, and AWD models accompany a balancing out gimmick for trailer towing.

Discretionary security gimmicks incorporate path flight and blind side cautioning frameworks. A forward-crash cautioning framework is additionally accessible, and it meets expectations by cautioning the driver of a conceivable impact with sound-related and visual alarms. The MDX is additionally offered with impact relief braking, which naturally applies the brakes to avert or moderate a looming crash. A path keeping help framework is accessible also, and it gives programmed controlling support to keep the MDX in its path.

In government accident tests, the MDX earned a main five-star general rating (out of a conceivable five), with five stars each for aggregate frontal effect security and aggregate side-sway wellbeing. The MDX likewise aced its Protection Organization for Expressway Security accident tests. It earned a top score of "Great" for its execution in the moderate-cover and little cover frontal balance effect tests. It additionally got a "Decent" evaluating in the side-effect, top quality and whiplash security (head restrictions and seats) tests. The MDX's noncompulsory frontal crash relief framework earned a second-best "Propelled" rating.

The MDX's inside is driver-centered, with an enjoyably thick, cowhide wrapped guiding wheel and simple to-peruse gages. Materials quality is high, and the focal point stack gloats a straightforward, clean format secured by two presentation screens. Generally speaking, the lodge is an average and lavish place in which to invest time.

Utilizing the route framework is straightforward and instinctive, as Acura permits you to gaze upward destinations by utilizing the focal control dial, a 7-inch touchscreen interface (mounted underneath the 8-inch nav screen) or an improved voice distinguishment framework. Lamentably, not one or the other screen brags the super-fresh design we've started to anticipate of this class, and a portion of the more essential capacities, (for example, turning on the seat radiators) oblige various pushes of virtual touchscreen catches, which can be diverting. A relative absence of radio presets is an alternate disillusionment.

Second-line seats slide fore and behind, with a change scope of 5.9 inches, for included adaptability. Back legroom is sensibly liberal. The front seats are agreeable, however contrasted and different models in this fragment, they offer just essential conformities. The third line is ideally equipped for children, however grown-ups ought to be alright over there on short excursions.

With 15.8 cubic feet of space behind its third column, the MDX trails its greater rivalry in freight room when every one of the three lines are being used. Notwithstanding, when you overlay the second and third columns, payload limit gets to be very liberal, with 90.9 cubic feet of room accessible for gear and effects.

The 2015 Acura MDX is one of the more agreeable extravagance hybrids to drive. The V6 motor is solid and fuel-effective. It likewise makes a pleasant sounding growl when you plant your right foot and the revs methodology redline. Having only six forward apparatuses may appear a bit out of date for a brandishing extravagance hybrid, however the transmission is smooth and downshifts rapidly whether you're pressing the gas or utilizing the movement paddles.

On the interstate and around town, the MDX does ride somewhat more immovably than some contending hybrids, however we don't think holders will think that it offensive. General levels of wind and street commotion are low. The genuine highlight, notwithstanding, is the way the MDX acts when determined around turns. It turns in adroitly, feels secure and grants an energetic vibe that is regularly missing on vehicles this size. The MDX's all-wheel-drive framework gives an additional aiding of physicality and additionally footing.

BMW 2015 X6 4X4

Its deals even shocked BMW, which found that this 4x4 principally intended for America, where it is manufactured and where its scale appears to be more sensible, was demonstrating the same amount of an attract for clients China and Europe. Also that is the reason it has had no faltering in delivering a second-era version.Although a few motors from the past model return in this form, all have been redesigned and introduced inside an all-new body, which conveys an updated inner part. The X6 now conveys more gear however measures close to the friendly model, in addition to it can be requested with discretionary gimmicks, for example, a halting toward oneself framework, night vision help and a car influx partner that permits the auto to consequently edge along behind the vehicle in front. What's more it will likewise situate five grown-ups as standard, rather than the past model, whose back seat was molded to seat four unless overall defined.
Image result for BMW 2015 X6 4X4

BMW is at present offering four motor choices with this new X6, three of them diesel, one a petrol, with additional to come, including a colossally effective X6 M model and a mixture. Tried here is a definitive, games situated diesel, badged X6 M50d. This £66,915 machine accompanies a triple turbo (you read that right) six-chamber motor, an eight-pace programmed gearbox and the pulling force of a little line shunter. Yet it will give back an authority 42.8mpg – think 30-35 in this present reality – with emanations of 174g/km, which isn't awful thinking of it as' 2.2-ton mass and overwhelming potential.Even more noteworthy is the some way or another with twists. The roadster like roofline, quietly forceful nose and considerable wheels flag a brandishing mission, while a more subtle piece of information is the pair of rich kneepads growing from the inside comfort. These give the driver and front traveler with extra propping when the X6 is performing physical cornering moves and it would appear, they're not wrong.

The M50d accompanies purported versatile M Game suspension, which solidify impressively in the Game mode to breaking point body-roll. Spend the best piece of £3000 and the X6's imperviousness to body-roll can be further supported with the Element versatile bundle, which incorporates dynamic bodyroll control and a back pivot that appropriates the motor's energy to the back wheel with the most hold, the outcome being still more prominent dexterity and an imperviousness to incline that is noteworthy given this current auto's stature. It's a bundle well worth having in case you're a sharp driver, in spite of the fact that its a disgrace that you must pay more; this wearing X6 ought to truly have it as standard.

With it fitted, the X6 delivers energetically familiar advance through a progression of turns, your pleasure stemming as much from the BMW's balance as the impossibility of an auto this huge showing such balletic .
On the off chance that the M50d's taking care of is familiar, the ride demonstrates less in this way, its 20-inch wheels jarring perceptibly over more honed knocks. On England's battered streets its prone to turn turbulent now and again. That is a difference to the richly cooling atmosphere of the X6's inside, which demonstrates exceptionally calm at rate. You'll hear the diesel when you work it hard – despite the fact that the sound is a long way from obnoxious – and there's a whisper of wind commotion around the front entryways, however on the smooth streets of the US test course, the auto was regularly library-quiet.It's likewise extremely tasteful, the emanation of unpretentious extravagance elevated by the satisfying scope of the decently requested dashboard, the finely made wood and aluminum décor and an exceptionally discernable infotainment screen.

Space in the back is startlingly liberal given the X6's car like roofline, in spite of the fact that its frustrating to find constrained foot-room, the front seats excessively cumbersome to permit your shoes to cuddle underneath them. At the same time that secondary lounge will situate three, and boot space is really liberal seats up or collapsed down – there's a vein of reasonableness going through this X6, notwithstanding its lively desire.
The essential recipe for this sporting off-roader remains unchanged, though. It’s big, it’s ostentatious, it’s fast and it’s a lot more agile than it looks. It’s also well finished, and useful. For the moment, this is BMW’s ultimate four-wheel drive X model. Get ready, though, for the still bigger X7 in 2016.

RAM HEAVY DUTY HIGHEST TOWING AMONG 1 TON PICKUPS

The Ram 2500 (three-quarter ton) and Ram 3500 (one-ton) arrangement were overhauled for the 2010 model year then were intensely amended for 2013, so changes for 2015 are negligible. Value changes are in like manner insignificant.

Most extreme towing for the 2015 Ram 2500 is pretty nearly 18,000 pounds and for the Ram 3500 it is 30,000 pounds; top payload approaches 4000 pounds for a Slam 2500 and 7320 pounds on Ram 3500. Like all full-estimate pickup trucks, the most extreme tow rating and greatest burden rating apply to diverse forms and not all the while. Ram's payload numbers are completely aggressive, the 3500's towing capacity is truly tons better than challengers and one and only pickup, a F-450, tows more. (Most HD pickups pulling a trailer appraised for anything close to their greatest burden limit may oblige a driver's permit past the standard or a support.)

15-ramhd-2500Chrysler's 383-hp Hemi 5.7-liter V8 with 6-rate programmed is the standard powertrain; a CNG rendition is accessible however exceptionally constrained. Ram's 410-hp 6.4-liter Hemi is intended for consistent unleaded fuel and has chamber deactivation for lower light-load fuel utilization. It's likewise the main vehicle sold in North America with a winch and a guarantee.

Ram 2500 and Ram 3500 Overwhelming Obligation models contend with Passage Super Obligation, Chevrolet Silverado HD, and GMC Sierra HD pickups. Ram HD offers numerous inside components and styling signals with Ram 1500 models, however they are not indistinguishable. Ram 3500 is additionally offered in a taxi/body rendition, with straight casing rails and business aim much the same as the Ram 4500 and Ram 5500 arrangement.

Ram HDs are a convincing decision for anybody in need of an overwhelming obligation pickup truck. Smash Overwhelming Obligation models are a fantastic decision for anybody pulling huge travel trailers, multi-auto race trailers, enormous watercrafts or a steady of steeds. They are a decent decision for any individual who has work to do, be it pulling development devices and materials or substituting for a medium-obligation when an essential business apparatus is on downtime.

SSANG YONG 2015 TIVOLI

Ssang Yong Tivoli
The SsangYong Tivoli is a new compact SUV which tries to be an entry-level vehicle that sports all the features of a mainstream crossover, but at a more affordable price. Named after the stylish town near Rome, the Tivoli was seen in concept form at four recent international motor shows, and was officially unveiled in Seoul last month.

The appearance of the SsangYong Tivoli seems to have the right combination of flair, equipment and affordability. But it takes a closer look to determine just how well this machine stacks up in a market flooded with competitors. The Tivoli takes styling cues from the third-generation Korando, one of the marque’s many SUV offerings. The front end is nicely sculpted, with an angular front bumper that recedes back to a slim grille connecting the two headlights. These incorporate LED daytime running lights in the upper portion of the headlight housings.

A line of chrome trim advances from the rear door across the front door and underneath the windshield, adding a dash of high-end panache. Faux carbon-fiber door mirrors are also evident. The standard wheels are 16-inch, but options include 18-inch alloys and 18-inch diamond-cut wheels.

SsangYong states that the Tivoli has achieved the highest rating possible for AE-MDB side-impact collision tests.Connectivity and technological integration are a main focus for the cabin area. With that in mind, the Tivoli’s infotainment was designed to easily interface with smartphones through a standard HDMI connecting cable. Through this system, music is streamed to a premium six-speaker sound system capable of playing numerous file types, including MP3, WAV, WMA, FLAC and APE. You can also play videos on a 7-inch color display screen, which integrates with the back-up camera.

The ergonomic steering wheel has a flat bottom and comes covered in leather, and it’s heated! The instrument cluster is recessed into cylindrical pods, with the hue customizable between six different background colors: red , blue, black, and white,sky-blue and even yellow.

There are also three interior trim colors to choose from: black, beige, and red. SsangYong says the red trim was specifically designed to offer a “sportier ambiance.” This idea is continued with the seats, intended to create a sports-car look and feel, with subtle lateral bolsters and high-quality stitching. These feature full adjustability and recline functions.

Dual-zone climate control includes air conditioning and seven different temperature settings, plus three different modes and a memory function. There’s smart-key entry and locking, and a parking assist system with six sensors, including two in the front and four in the rear. There’s also a tire-pressure monitoring system.

Standard features include a luggage screen, one-touch automatic wiper function, and automatic hazard light activation. rain-sensing windshield wipers, automatic headlight activation, and an electrochromatic rear-view mirror. Topping it off are alloy pedals, and LED illuminated doorsills.

To help reduce NVH, a double-skin insulated bulkhead sits between the engine bay and the cabin, soaking up any unwanted engine noise. A total of 423 cubic liters of luggage space, makes for easy hauling. need more room adjust interior, the second row seats fold flat.

Of course, SsangYong is quick to point out further safety features. Seven airbags are in place, while the seat belts feature dual pre-tensioners for even greater protection.Under the hood of the Tivoli, SsangYong is offering either a gas or diesel powerplant, both with four cylinders and 1.6 liters of displacement. CHEVROLET COLORADO Z71

Chevy Colorado
Introducing the Chevrolet Colorado 2015 model.A new Chevrolet Colorado and its Professional Grade twin are derived from GM's new midsize Global Truck platform, first introduced in Thailand and other countries where these machines are considered large. Designed to offer SUV-like handling and amenities alongside practicality and a dash of economy, the Chevrolet Colorado is meant to appeal to buyers who do not necessarily want the biggest truck for their buck and for whom a V8 underhood is not a must.

The Chevrolet Colorado does not offer a V8; power comes from a 2.5-liter four-cylinder good for 200 hp and 191 lb-ft of torque, or a 3.6-liter V6 good for 305 hp and 269 lb-ft of torque. Both engines are aimed at economy, with the smaller unit laying claim to an EPA-estimated 27 mpg highway, with the V6 not too far behind with a very respectable 26 mpg highway rating (2WD models). Available in extended-cab and crew-cab guises, the Colorado can be had in 2WD and 4WD form, with a choice of automatic or six-speed manual transmissions depending on trim level and engine. The extended cab model is offered with a 6'2" bed, while the crew cab version can be had with a 5'2" bed or a 6'2" bed.

The Colorado is offered in three models: Work Truck , LT and Z71. The Z71 is the adventurous one of the trio and it comes with 17-inch aluminum wheels wearing all-terrain tires , in addition to projector headlights and a few stylistic adjustments, including a gunmetal grille surround.

Even though the Colorado is positioned below the Silverado Chevy's entry-level truck until very recently that doesn't mean it skimps on interior comfort and connectivity. Available leather seats, a 3.5-inch screen in the instrument cluster,OnStar 4G LTE , a standard rearview camera, an available Bose premium seven-speaker sound system, along built-in Wi-Fi hotspot, and no less than four standard USB ports come standard on the Z71 model.

As standard equipment, the Z71 also includes a rear window defogger, a remote starter, and sliding rear window. In addition to all this, the Colorado also boasts the segment's highest trailer rating of 7,000 pounds with the available heavy-duty towing package and a V6 engine.

With a starting price of $31,300 for the Z71, there is plenty of overlap with the Chevrolet Silverado; that must have been the scariest part of the decision for GM to bring a version of this truck to the States. Their willingness to offer less truck for not much less money (especially in top spec out-the-door price) speaks volumes about their confidence in the Colorado.

PORSCHE 919 RACE CAR STEERING WHEEL TECHNOLOGY

Take a look at the steering wheel in Porsche’s newest LMP1 FIA World Endurance Championship entry, the 919 Hybrid. Similar to a Formula One car’s wheel, it looks like it belongs in a rocket ship more than a race car. Without looking at the controls identified at the bottom of the image below, do you think you could figure out what each button, switch and knob does? Remember, you’ll have to process this information and operate the systems while also travelling at more than 100 mph – and actually racing wheel-to-wheel.

Setting the direction is the most trivial task of the steering wheel in the Porsche 919 Hybrid. The drivers of the Class 1 Le Mans prototypes in the FIA World Endurance Championship have a computer in their hands. They operate 24 buttons and switches on the front along with paddles on the back to control the most complex racing car built by Porsche to date.

Although it is called a steering wheel, it is not round but a flat rectangle. The shape is due to the space required during driver changes. Tall drivers, such as Mark Webber or Brendon Hartley in particular, would otherwise have a difficult time getting in and out of the vehicle quickly. There is a large display in the center, which displays a multitude of information to the driver. This includes the speed, what gear is engaged, the currently selected motor management, and the charge status of the lithium ion battery, which states how much electrical energy is available to be called up to drive the front axle. The electric motor on the front axle supplements the turbo charged two liter, four cylinder combustion motor, which powers the rear wheels. The control button at the top left is used to select the displayed information, while the drivers use the control button in the right grip handle to dim down the display brightness at night. The identical control button in the left grip handle is for the volume of the pit radio, and the fourth rotary-type control at the top right varies the interval timing of the windshield wiper.

The buttons and switches on the steering wheel were carefully positioned to accommodate the drivers and facilitate reliable operation at racing pace. The most frequently used buttons are positioned along the top outside edge, so they are easily reached with the thumb. The blue button at the top right, which is almost always in use, is the headlight flasher, used by the fast prototypes to warn the slower vehicles in the WEC field before they are lapped. When pushed once, it causes the headlights to flash three times. In daylight, the drivers keep their thumb on it almost permanently, as naturally the headlight signal is more difficult to see at that time.

The red button at the top left of the steering wheel is also frequently used. Its function is to demand electrical power from the battery, often referred to as "boost". The drivers can boost to pass but must be clever about rationing the power. The amount of energy per lap is specified. The yardstick is one lap in Le Mans, where six megajoules are available. The amounts are converted accordingly for shorter circuits. The amount of energy a driver uses in the middle of a lap to get free of the traffic will not be available at the end in the straightaways.

A bit further inside on the right and left of the steering wheel are the plus and minus switches to adjust the front and rear traction control and to distribute the brake balance between the front and rear axle. These yellow, blue, and pink switches are not used as frequently.

The orange buttons further down operate the drinking system (on left) and put the transmission in neutral (on right). The red button at the bottom left is for the windshield washer. The red button on the right side activates the cruise control to restrict the speed while in the pit lane.

At the top center, there are the green buttons for radio communication on the left as well as the OK button on the right. Drivers use the latter to confirm they have performed a setting change, which was requested of them via the pit radio. For these settings, they use the rotary switches, and usually only in the straightaways as they need to pull one hand out of the steering wheel grip for these buttons.

The two rotary switches called 'Multi' correspond with one another. The left one is available for 1A,2B, 3C settings, and the right one is number-based. Programs for engine management or fuel management are designated by combinations such as A2 or B3. Three other rotary switches are available to pre-select the brake balance, set the traction control for wet or dry conditions, and the hybrid strategy.

To make the switches easier to recognize in the dark, their colors are fluorescent and respond to a black light lamp, which is situated above the driver's helmet.

The steering wheel is made of carbon, with the grip handles covered in slip-resistant rubber. Thanks to the power steering system, drivers can steer the car without any difficulty, even with the relatively narrow grips. When reaching through the openings, their fingers touch six paddles on the back side of the steering wheel. The center paddles are used for changing gears – pulling the right paddle is for upshifting, and pulling the left paddle is for downshifting. The lower paddles operate the clutch and their function is identical on either side. Depending on whether the driver just entered a right or left curve, he can decide which side is easier to operate. The paddle at the top left operates the boost; whether the drivers use this paddle or the button described on the front is purely a matter of preference. The drivers use the paddle at the top right to initiate manual energy recuperation. This feels like a slightly engaged hand brake and supplies the battery reservoir with electric energy gained from kinetic energy.

DODGE VIPER SUPER CAR 2015 SRT

2015 Dodge Viper SRT
The Dodge Viper SRT is an American exotic meticulously hand-built by craftspeople and artisans who sweat every detail during the five-day build process. More than 145 hours are required to achieve the show-quality, hand-sanded, multi-coat paint finish. Inside, world-class attention to detail with premium appointments to customizable controls and communication screens. Viper SRT offers: Now two decades removed from the original, the Viper still wears a pretty unmistakable shape. It was originally conceived as a modern interpretation of the Shelby Cobra, and many of those cues remain today.

In the past it's had a bad-boy reputation as less controllable than sports cars like the 911 and Corvette, but in its current form the Viper's become almost genteel. Updates for the 2015 model year include a 5-hp bump for the 8.4-liter V-10, a different sixth-gear ratio for upper trim levels, a new GT model to slot between base and GTS Vipers, a Viper TA 2.0 Special Edition model, and several new colors.

Low, long, and covered in muscular bulges and threatening vents, the Viper telegraphs its supercar intentions. Inside, the cabin is now more refined and luxurious, with available leather and tech packages pushing it fully into the 21st century.

Under the hood of the Viper you'll find just one engine, no matter the trim: an 8.4-liter V-10 that drives the rear wheels. It now makes 645 hp (up 5) and the same 600 pound-feet of torque. Chrysler says it delivers the most torque of any normally aspirated sports car engine in the world, and the performance reflects that: 0-60 mph runs come in the low-three-second range; quarter-miles fly by in the low 11s; 0-100-0 mph takes less than 12 seconds; top speed is 206 mph. You can have any transmission you want, as long as it's the standard six-speed manual.

The latest Viper generation is the first to be equipped with stability and traction control, and fortunately, they're not the fun-killing systems of old. In fact, even in full-on mode, the system allows for yaw and slip angles suitable to spirited track-day antics. All Vipers get three stability-control modes (on, off, and rain), while the GTS model adds a pair of intermediate steps, with Sport and Track modes, which loosen the restrictions but keep a safety net. Even with everything fully off, however, the Viper is nearly balanced, transitioning from entry to apex to exit with massive grip and surprising feel through the steering wheel and the seat-bottom.

The Viper's cabin is surprisingly roomy for such a low-slung, coupe. Dodge claims drivers up to 6'7" should fit within its confines. There's plenty of head and leg room for most drivers, and the seats are both comfortable and adjustable. The steering wheel and pedals also move to get the best possible fit. You'll want as much physical comfort in the Viper as possible, as it's a very noisy place to be, even cruising at low engine speeds on a smooth country road. The ride quality is fair in base models, a bit better with the adjustable dampers, but never really objectionable for a sports car. Cargo space is fair, at 14.00 cubic feet, but the odd shape under the rear hatch means soft-sided bags will be the best bet for longer trips.

Differences between the Viper SRT and Viper GTS are primarily in equipment: the GTS gets a two-mode suspension system with Bilstein DampTronic Select dampers and the aforementioned extra stability-control parameters. The Viper SRT is the more minimalist take on extreme performance, while the GTS offers an extra degree of luxury and refinement in the cabin as well as its upgraded suspension system and electronic controls. The new-for-2015 GT model splits the difference, with a price to match, and adds the GTS's Bilstein setup, the five-mode stability system, and a unique leather-and-Alcantara interior on top of the base model's equipment.

Gas mileage, as you might expect, isn't one of the Viper's primary concerns. That said, there's a slight increase for 2015. Trasnmission refinements and the new engine calibration helped eke out a small improvement in highway mileage; the 2015 car gets 12 mpg city and 20 highway, upgraded from 12 mpg city 19 up one on highway.

NISSAN NV 2015 PASSENGER VAN

The 2015 Nissan NV
When you need a lift to the airport with all your stuff the NV your chances are very good that your ride will be the 2015 Nissan NV Passenger van. This 12-seat full-size people-hauler looks tough and capable yet civilized, which may be just the thing for those who don’t want their trepidations about flying to kick in till they’re actually on the plane. And with 28.9 cubic feet of cargo space behind the fourth row of seats, you can be fairly sure that if luggage is lost, it’ll be the airline, not the limo service, at fault. Meanwhile, the 3 rear rows of seating can be configured in up to 324 variations, though to reach the NV Passenger’s maximum 218.9 cubes of cargo-toting capacity, all rear seats must be removed.

Anyhow, this hefty van again comes in three trims: the base S, the midlevel SV, and the top-shelf SL, all of which are mounted on the beefy one-ton 3500 HD frame, as opposed to the cargo version of this workaholic (reviewed separately), which remains offered in half-ton 1500 iterations and three-quarter-ton 2500 versions, as well as in 3500 trims. Additionally, expect the 2015 NV Passenger to return only with rear-wheel drive (RWD) and with the sole significant change for 2015 being a marginal upgrade in the available NissanConnect technology to improve navigation and mobile apps functionality.

Power-wise, the 2015 NV Passenger S and SV versions remain packing a standard 261-hp 4.0-liter V6 engine that’s managed by a 5-speed automatic transmission to put out 281 lb-ft of torque. Towing with the V6 is maxed out at 2,000 pounds with the standard hitch aboard, but an available towing package bumps total hauling capacity to 6,200 pounds. Payload, meantime, tops out at 2,645 pounds. Alas, because the EPA does not evaluate mileage for up-sized vehicles, no fuel efficiency numbers are available.

Should more oomph be needed, the flagship NV Passenger SL is delivered with a standard 5.6-liter V8 powerplant that again combines with the 5-speed automatic to pound out 317 hp and 385 lb-ft of torque. This drivetrain also remains optional in the 2 lower trims, and with an available Class IV towing package installed, remains capable of pulling up to 8,000 to 8,7oo pounds of trailer, not to mention a payload capacity that again maxes over at 2,500 pounds.

Appearance features for the base S trim, meanwhile, include 17-inch steel wheels, a roof rack, power-adjustable outside mirrors, a sliding rear side passenger door and rear barn doors. Inside, look for standard cloth upholstery, a fold-down front passenger seatback, air conditioning, a tilt-adjustable steering wheel, and a single-CD player with 4 speakers.

Moving up to the midlevel SV, expect to find upgrades like 17-inch alloy wheels, power door locks and windows, upgraded interior and exterior trim pieces, cruise control, a power-adjustable driver’s seat, rear parking sensors, and a 6-speaker audio system.

Options-wise, lower trims again remain eligible for a number of features that come standard in higher trims as optional equipment, while further noteworthy options remain HD and satellite radio and upgraded NissanConnect navigation and smartphone apps, all of which remain slated for select trims.

Finally, standard safety equipment in each 2015 NV Passenger trim includes 4-wheel antilock brakes , front side-mounted airbags, 4-row side-curtain airbags, and daytime running lights. Furthermore, SV and SL trims are delivered with a standard remote antitheft alarm, and the SL also boasts standard front fog/driving lights that are optional in lower trims.

AUDI'S NEW RS3 SPOTBACK HYPER HATCH

The new 2015 Audi RS3 has been revealed, carrying over the previous car’s 2.5-litre five-cylinder engine – albeit with a 26bhp boost, taking total power to 362bhp,It seems Audi was listening to the critics who said they’ve gotten too complacent in recent years. Meet the 2015 RS3 Sportback, an all-wheel-drive, 5-cylinder monster hot hatch that’s out to prove that Audi still has a wild side.

Powered by a 2.5-liter turbocharged inline 5-cylinder that harkens back to Audi’s rallying days, the RS3 Sportback puts out 367-horsepower and 340 lb.-ft. of torque. That scoots it along to 62-mph in only 4.3-seconds on the way to a top speed of 170-mph.We live in an age where supercar numbers are now accessible in sub-$50,000 cars, but that doesn’t make the RS3 any less impressive, especially considering its 29-mpg average fuel economy.

Power is routed to all four wheels via Audi’s excellent 7-speed S tronic gearbox, and the car’s computer uses torque vectoring to keep the Sportback pointed in the right direction at all times. While it may share its roots with the humble Volkswagen Golf, the VW group’s new MQB modular platform is more than up to the task of handling almost 370-horsepower.

We may not get the hatchback in the States, but it's possible that a sedan version of Audi's smallest world-beater could reach our shores.

Carbon fiber-ceramic brakes are opCarbon fiber-ceramic brakes are optional, a first for the compact segment, and 19-inch wheels help put the RS3’s massive power firmly to the pavement.

Audi is mum on whether or not the RS3 Sportback will reach the States, but it’s likely that a sedan version is in the works, which we would be much more likely to get. If the composed-yet-tossable nature of the S3 is anything to go on, the RS3 should be loads of fun.

CHRYSLER 300 SEDAN

2015 Chrysler 300
The new Chrysler 300 offers the boldest styling in the segment, and for 2015 it gets even bolder. Chrysler’s full-size flagship sedan has been redesigned front and rear and features a larger, more imposing front grille, while inside is an improved interior.

The front end of the 2015 Chrysler 300 looks more aggressive but also less gaudy than before, with thinner, more subtle chrome detailing, giving it a more sophisticated, upscale look. A big grille has been a signature design cue since the introduction of the Chrysler 300 in 1955. . Chrysler’s full-size flagship sedan has been redesigned front and rear and features a larger, more imposing front grille, while inside is an improved interior. The interior of the 2015 Chrysler 300 is the best yet. Interior designers say they wanted the cabin to be a place of contrasts, between old-world styling and the latest technology. They seemed to have achieved their aim, with a cabin that uses classic and tasteful color combinations, large color displays and many connectivity features.

For 2015, Chrysler 300 comes with an 8-speed automatic transmission controlled by a rotary knob instead of the traditional gear shifter used on the 2014 model. The knob is easy to use and opens up more space in the cabin, creating an airy feeling between driver and passenger.

The 2015 Chrysler 300 looks cleaner and more modern compared with the 2014 model, with revised styling that brings it more in line with the smaller Chrysler 200 for increased visual brand continuity. The redesigned front-end also gets new LED fog lamps. It’s flanked by new headlamps that include LED daytime running lights.

The side view of the Chrysler 300 hasn’t changed much for 2015. Large, highly sculpted wheel arches anchor each end of the car, with a high character line that runs straight from the front wheel over the door handles and into the tail lights. Wheel sizes and designs vary depending on trim level and equipment, ranging from 18-inch alloys black aluminum wheels.

For 2015, new LED tail lamps, which resemble those on the Chrysler 200, feature a bright ring around the perimeter. The rear of the 300 has a slightly lifted look. 300S V8 models get a decklid spoiler. The interior of the 2015 Chrysler 300 is the best yet. Fit, finish and materials are some of the best in the class, beating the Ford Taurus, which, generally speaking, has grown long in the tooth. We find the Chrysler 300’s , which is greatly improved over its previous generation. Chrysler 300 Limited models get upscale features like dual-zone climate control, leather trim and a glossy wood trim finish.

All Chrysler 300 models feature a color touch screen for the center stack that uses Chrysler’s Uconnect interface. We find the Chrysler Uconnect system more user-friendly than My Ford Touch,Two USB ports in the rear of the center console let rear passengers charge their phones and other devices, which uses capacitive touch and includes a locking storage compartment behind the screen. To keep with the old-world tradition, the Chrysler 300 features an analog clock atop its display.

On the instrument cluster, a new digital TFT display sits between the analog speedometer and tachometer, showing speed, navigation instructions, vehicle information and more. While the display is large and easy to read, the trip odometer and speed displays are on separate screens, preventing the driver from seeing both at once,Seats are roomy, comfortable and well cushioned, good for freeway cruising and road trips. Heated, power front seats are standard.
